Erik ten Hag has banned a string of mainstream media outlets from attending his pre-match press conference on Tuesday ahead of Manchester United’s midweek clash with Chelsea in the Premier League.

Sky Sports, The Mirror, Manchester Evening News and ESPN have all been blacklisted from Ten Hag’s press conference this afternoon. This comes after the four outlets ran stories claiming that the Dutchman is facing a dressing room revolt at Man Utd.

According to Sky Sports, half of United’s squad have turned against their manager due to his refusal to act on his players’ grievances. Ten Hag’s stand-off with Jadon Sancho is said to be among the biggest concerns. Sancho hasn’t played for United since August after he was exiled from the first team following a social media bust-up with the Red Devils boss.

The Englishman is a popular member of the dressing room and there are multiple players said to be unhappy with Ten Hag’s treatment of the former Borussia Dortmund star.

Meanwhile, The Mirror reported that members of the dressing are “disillusioned” by their manager. United have endured a terrible start to the 2023/2024 campaign and currently sit in seventh place in the Premier League table following defeat to Newcastle at the weekend.

Things are going even worse for them in Europe where they sit rock bottom of their Champions League group behind Bayern Munich, Galatasaray and FC Copenhagen.

Pressure is mounting on Ten Hag to turn things around both on and off the pitch with Sir Jim Ratcliffe set to take over footballing operations at the club in the coming months.
