Liverpool attacker Harvey Elliott has dismissed transfer speculation by insisting he wants to fight for his place in Arne Slot’s plans.

The 21-year-old has made just 11 appearances this season, falling down Slot’s pecking order due to injury problems.

But he made a positive impact off the bench to help Liverpool beat Brentford 2-0 with two stoppage-time goals on Saturday.

And Elliott has made it clear that his priority is to become a success at Anfield.

“Liverpool is my club. Liverpool is my team. I want to fight for my place, fight for my position in the team,” Elliott said.

“It’s down to me to put in the effort, the hard work, the desire, to make that achievement. I am not going to give up. I am going to keep fighting.”
